CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu (1 hour) 

Co-ed classes focusing on the basics of jiu-jitsu.  Designed for beginners, as well as those looking to perfect their muscle memory.  Classes focus on techniques. No sparring.


Gi Jiu-Jitsu Class (1.5 hours) 

Mixed-level, Co-ed classes teaching self-defense and sport jiu-jitsu techniques.  Classes generally include warm-ups/drills, detail-oriented technique, and open mat for sparring and/or continued drilling.


No Gi Jiu-Jitsu Class (1.5 hours) 

Mixed-level, Co-ed classes teaching No Gi grappling, submission wrestling, and jiu-jitsu techniques.  Classes generally include warm-ups/drills, detail-oriented technique, and open mat for sparring and/or continued drilling.


Competition Jiu-Jitsu Class (1.5 hours) 

Mixed-level, Co-ed classes preparing students who want to compete in local, national, and international jiu-jitsu competitions.  Classes generally include speed drills, heavy cardio, and competition mindset.


Drills Drills Drills (1 hour)

Mixed-level, Co-ed classes focused on jiu-jitsu drills.  Classes generally include “Five on the board” (five drilling rounds), one jiu-jitsu technique, and open mat.


Women’s Only Drills (1 hour)

Classes focused on jiu-jitsu drills for women and women’s bodies taught by women.  Classes generally include hip movements, grips, strengthening and pressure drills. Open mat available when time allows.


Women’s Self-Defense (1 hour every last Friday)

Classes focused on self-defense taught by women for attacks while standing and lying down.  Classes generally include self-defense drills and technique. Designed as an ongoing class, women are encouraged to attend every month to build muscle memory and strength.


Open Mat (1 hour) 

Mats are open and available to anyone for sparring or drilling.
